Luanda Pau Baquero – Cuba
Luanda Pau Born in Havana Cuba into a family of performers and cabaret artists, Luanda Pau Baquero was a soloist and then principal dancer of the Conjunto Folclórico Nacional de Cuba. Her performance career has taken her around the world, she has received numerous awards for her high-level achievement as a dancer and choreographer. Luanda graduated from the National School of Art in Cuba (ENA) in 1994, as a dancer and teacher, specializing in Cuban Folk and Contemporary dance. She went on to qualify in Choreography, Artistic Direction, Script and Production in Cuba. She is passionate about teaching dance, sharing her Cuban cultural heritage and creating links with other cultures. She qualified in France in Dance and Sports Education and has since worked extensively with children and adults as an independent teacher in Cuba, France, Italy, Poland, Germany, Africa, Belgium, USA, Switzerland, Austria, Monte-Carlo among others. Currently, Luanda resides in Hackney London, where he also produces and creates master classes in dance, workshops and international events. Luanda has also created her performance group to give all those interested, the possibility of deepening, consolidating, learning and enjoying all the diversity of Cuban culture.
